How to Delete a PlayStation Network Account

This wiki page will show you how to request permanent deletion of your PlayStation Network (PSN) account.

Review what happens when you delete your account. The account will be permanently deleted. Make sure you understand the following points before proceeding: ^{[1] X Research Sources}

You will not be able to use your Online ID to create a new account.
All purchases will be forfeited. Blank content can be moved to another account.
All subscriptions will be terminated.
The PSN wallet will be no longer available and the remaining funds will also be forfeited.

Collect your account information. A PSN account can only be deleted by someone at Sony and they will need the following information:

Login ID, i.e. your email address.
Online ID PSN.
Any security information that has been added by you to protect the account.

To contact Sony PlayStation support by phone, call the support number for your region. If you can’t find a phone number for your region below, search the web for the country name and ″Sony PlayStation support phone number″. Ask the agent to assist in deleting the account. You may have to answer security questions to confirm your identity before the staff deletes your account.
