Steps
Set up a survey

Open the Ppls Facebook page. You can do so by entering https://apps.facebook.com/my-ppls/ in the URL bar of your browser.
- If you’re not logged into Facebook, you’ll be prompted to enter your email address and password in the upper-right corner of the page to continue.

Enter a title for the survey. The title should be short and present the content of the poll.
- For example, a survey asking about people’s favorite animals might be called “Choose your favorite animal” (or simply “What’s your favorite animal?”).

Click Continue . This option is below the title field.

Click Continue as [your name] when the option appears. This will allow the “Ppl” app to access your Facebook page.
Create a question

Click + Add Question . This option is near the center of the page, to the left of the blue Next: Preview button.

Enter the question. Enter your question in the “Question” field at the top of the window.
- With the example above, you could enter “What animal do you like?” come in.

Determine the question type. To proceed, click the bar under the “Question Type” heading, then choose one of the following options:
- Text Box – Survey participants will enter their own answers.
- Multiple Choice – One answer – Survey participants will choose an answer from a list of multiple choices.
- Multiple Choice – Multiple answers – Survey participants will choose one or more answers from the available list.
- Drop-down list – Survey participants will click on a cell and select an answer from the list.
- Ranking – Survey participants will select each item based on how the items apply to them or the question.
- Scale of 1 to 5 – Survey participants will choose a number from 1 to 5 (“bad” to “excellent”, by default).
- With the animal example, you can select a drop-down list, a multiple choice list (one answer), or a text box.

Fill in the answer. The format of your answer will depend on the type of question you choose:
- Text Box – Click the box below “Data type” to choose the type of answer you’ll accept, from a single line of text to an email address with a phone number.
- Multiple Choice / Drop-down list / Ranking – Enter the text to display next to the check box in the field below the “Answers” heading. Click Add Answer to add more options, or click Add “Other” to add a text field.
- Scale of 1 to 5 – Choose a rating scale by clicking in the box next to the number “1” or “5” and entering the label text.
- You can also click the red circle to the right of some answers to delete them.

Customize advanced question options. To proceed, click to the left of one or all of the following options if necessary:
- This is a mandatory question – Participants will not be able to continue the survey until this question has been answered.
- Randomize answers order – Change the order of questions each time a survey is taken. Does not apply to certain types of responses (e.g., a scale of 1 to 5).

Click Save . This green button is in the lower-right corner of the “New question” window. The question will be added to the survey.

Complete the survey setup. You can add more questions by clicking the + Add Question button and fill out another form, or edit existing questions based on the buttons above each question:
- Click the pencil icon to edit an existing question.
- Click the two sheets of paper icon to copy the question.
- Click the up or down arrow to move the question up or down in the survey order.
- Click the red circle icon to delete the question.
Post a survey

Click Next Preview located to the right of the + Add Question button.

Review the survey. If everything looks the way it should, then you can proceed with posting.
- If you want to edit something, click the Back: Edit Questions button in the upper left of the survey box.

- The text box is a good place to let users know that they need to turn off the display ads as soon as they click on the survey link to see the actual content of the survey.
