Prepare a cup or small bowl. Microwaveable bowls or cups can be used, but a flat, round base is best. This way, the finished egg will have a flat round shape and will be perfect for placing on toast or muffins.
Grease the bottom and inside of the bowl with oil. Dab a little vegetable oil or piu oil on a paper towel and then spread it around the inside of the bowl. You can also use nonstick spray to spray the cup or bowl. Or you can melt the butter in a bowl.
Crack the eggs directly into the bowl. Be careful not to break the egg yolk.
Add 1/3 cup of water. Pour water directly over the eggs.
Cover the bowl again. Use a dish or microwave-safe paper towel to cover the bowl. This way, the eggs will not splash out and contaminate the microwave.

Poach eggs. Put the eggs in the microwave and poach on maximum for 35 seconds. When blanching is complete, remove the paper towel and check if the eggs are cooked. If the whites are still loose, return the eggs to the oven and blanch for another 10-15 seconds. Microwave capacity may vary, so please adjust the blanching time depending on the capacity of the oven. When the white is no longer liquid, the egg has been poached.

  • Blanching to the maximum temperature will result in a medium-cooked egg. If you prefer a loose yolk, blanch 60 seconds at 50% power. Continue blanching until the whites are firm and the yolks are still liquid. [1] X Research Source
  • To poach a well-cooked egg (like a hard-boiled egg), poach at full power for 60 seconds.

Take the eggs out of the microwave. Open the lid of the bowl and slide the knife on the outer edge to release the egg. The eggs will come out of the bowl to put on toast or onto a plate. Enjoy eggs to your liking.

Crack two eggs into a bowl. Use a fork to beat the eggs.
Add milk and spices to the eggs. Add a teaspoon of milk, a pinch of salt and black pepper.
Mix with your favorite filling. Any filling is fine, as long as it is grated or chopped into bite-sized pieces. Here are some delicious fillings you can try for a microwave omelet:

  • Shredded Cheddar or Swiss Cheese
  • Chopped Onions
  • Chopped chili
  • Chopped tomatoes
  • Spinach (spinach) chopped
