Wash the broccoli. If you buy broccoli at the supermarket, you only need to wash it once. If you buy at the market or at the garden, you should soak broccoli in salt water for about 10 minutes, then rinse with clean water.

  • Garden broccoli often has cabbage worms, a common garden worm. In the larval stage, cabbage worms are usually green, about 2.5 cm long. While not harmful, they can detract from a meal’s appetite. This worm usually dies when in salt water. The cabbage worms will float to the surface so you can filter them out and discard them.
Cut off the stem. This is the hardest part of broccoli. The stalk is edible, but the further away from the cotton, the harder and less delicious it becomes. You can cut off the hard part and use the rest to eat.
Cut the cotton. Slice broccoli individually or cut into small corners until the whole broccoli comes apart into small pieces for easy preparation. If you don’t like the stalks, cut just below the cotton. If you want to get more benefits from broccoli, cut the stalk close to the stem of the broccoli.
Put the steamer in the pot. Pour water about 5 cm high into the pot, put the steamer in, cover the pot and put the pot on the stove over medium heat to bring the water to a boil.
Put the broccoli in the steamer. Open the pot lid, put the broccoli in the steamer and close the lid.

Open the bag of broccoli. Just cut or tear the top of the bag to get the broccoli. The easiest way is to cut the mouth of the bag.
Processing broccoli. Put the amount of broccoli you need in a pot with the water level about 5-8 cm high. Heat over medium heat until the water begins to boil, then remove the pot from the heat immediately.

  • If you cook in the microwave, adjust the time 1-3 minutes depending on the power of the microwave and the amount of broccoli. Broccoli should be cooked so it’s still crispy. If the broccoli is still not completely defrosted, you need to continue to put it in the oven every 30 seconds until you get the desired result, then remove it from the oven immediately. Place the broccoli in a microwaveable dish with a lid and pour into the water about 2.5 cm high.

Put the broccoli in the pan and sprinkle with some salt.
