People who have made friends, interacted with, or chatted with you on Facebook can send you messages via the Facebook Messenger app. Anyone who has never chatted with you can only send pending messages that you are allowed to accept or ignore. These are custom options, so you can choose which messages go into the Message Requests folder, which messages show up in your Chat inbox, and which messages don’t. Open the Messenger app on your iPhone or Android. This is an app with blue, purple, pink and white lightning chat bubble icons inside. You can find the app on the home screen or on the Apps menu.

Select the blocking option. The following two options have different features:
