Your iPad can connect to the Internet wirelessly or via a cellular data plan. When you connect to a wireless network, you will not be charged for Internet access (unless that Wifi provider charges a fee). There’s a fee for using a mobile data plan, but in return, you can access the Internet from anywhere with a cellular signal.

Select network. A list of networks will appear under the Wifi section. Tap the network you want to join.
