How to Check Email Using Google Mail

Open the Gmail app. It’s an app with a closed red and white envelope icon.

• If your mobile device doesn’t have the Gmail app, you can get it on the iTunes App Storei for iPhone or on the Google Play Store for Android.

Sign in to your Gmail account:

• On iPhone , tap SIGN IN .
• On Android , tap SKIP (Skip).

Add a Gmail account. If your Gmail account was previously added, tap the slider next to the account to switch it to the “ON” position. Otherwise, you need to do the following:

• On iPhone , tap + Add Account . This will take you to the Google Accounts page.
• On Android , tap +Add and email address and tap Google to be taken to the Google Accounts page.

Enter your Gmail address and press Next .

• If you don’t have a Gmail account, you can create one by tapping More options and choosing Create account on iPhone, or tapping Or create a new account on iPhone. Android.

Enter your Gmail password and press Next .

Finish adding the account.

• On iPhone , tap DONE .
• On Android , tap NEXT twice, and tap TAKE ME TO GMAIL (Take me to Gmail).

Tap . This is the option in the upper left corner.

Tap Everything on iPhone or Inbox on Android. This immediately takes you to your Gmail inbox where you can see the latest emails.

Tap messages in your inbox to open and read them.

• Tap the arrow in the lower right corner to reply.
• Tap the trash can icon at the top of the screen to delete the message.
• Tap the X in the upper left corner to close the message and return to the inbox.

Open Settings. It’s a gray app with gears

and usually displayed on the main screen.

Swipe down and tap Mail . This app shows up in a section with other apps like Calendar and Notes.

Tap Accounts . This is the first part of the menu.

Tap Add Account . You’ll see this option at the bottom of the “ACCOUNTS” section (Accounts).

Tap Google . This is the middle of the list.

Enter your Gmail address in the appropriate field.

• If you don’t have a Gmail account, you need to create one right away.

Tap Save . This is the button in the upper right corner of the screen. You can now send and receive Gmail messages using the Mail app on your iPhone.

Open the Mail app. It’s an app with a blue and white sealed envelope icon; you will immediately see your inbox when you open the app.

• If the app doesn’t show an inbox, you’ll tap Mailboxes in the upper-left corner and select Gmail .

Tap messages in your inbox to open and read them.

• Tap the arrow in the lower right corner to reply.
• Tap the trash can icon at the bottom of the screen to delete the message.
• Tap Back in the upper-left corner to close the message and return to the inbox.

Open Outlook on your computer.

Click the File menu or tab.

Click Accounts .

Click Add Account .

Click Email Account .

Enter your name in the appropriate field.

Enter your Gmail address and password in the appropriate fields.

Click Add Account and exit the dialog box.
