How to Change Your Age on Xbox Live

This wikiHow teaches you how to change your birthday registered on Xbox LIVE. We can only do this if the Xbox LIVE account is linked to a Microsoft account; If you signed up for Xbox LIVE with a different account type, you won’t be able to change your age. If your current account is under 18, you’ll need to create a new Xbox LIVE account with a different date of birth if you want to play M-rated games or rent certain movies/media.

Open the Microsoft website. Visit https://www.microsoft.com to open the main Microsoft site. If you’re already signed in, your name and profile picture (if available) will appear in the upper right corner of the page.

If you’re not signed in, click Sign in in the upper-right corner of the page, enter your email address, click Next , enter your password, and then click Sign in to continue.

Click on the account name located at the top right of the page. A menu will drop down.

Click View Microsoft account . This option is in the middle of the drop-down menu. When you click that, the Microsoft account page opens.

Click Your info . This tab is to the left of the blue bar at the top of the page. The current account information page opens.

Click the Edit date of birth link. This link is to the right of the current birthday. The edit page will be forwarded.

You may be prompted to re-enter your password before continuing.

Edit date of birth. In the “Birthdate” section at the top of the page, change the day, month, and year of birth to reflect the age you want displayed on Xbox LIVE. Click the day, month, or year shown here and select new information from the drop-down menu.

Scroll down and click Save . This blue button is at the bottom of the page. So your age will change based on your new date of birth.

Advice

Xbox LIVE does not show user age to other members.
