This wikiHow teaches you how to block spam email addresses on Yahoo Mail, and how to mark and delete spam. You can mark and delete spam on the web version and the Yahoo mobile app, but you can only block email addresses on the website version. Unfortunately, Yahoo is known for its very limited blocking capabilities, so there’s nothing we can do to prevent videos, emails or ads from showing up in the inbox.

Block spamming addresses

Open your Yahoo inbox. Go to https://mail.yahoo.com/ using a web browser. Your Yahoo inbox page will open if you’re signed in.

Copy the address of the spam email. In the upper-left corner of the email is the sender’s name (for example, “Facebook”), with the email address between brackets (such as “<facebook@facebook.com>”).
