How Many Spartans Are Left In Halo Infinite?

There is a question we all want to know: Is the Master Chief the only Spartan after the attack of The Banished?

Since the Halo Infinite campaign released on December 8 we spend so much time being Master Chief. It’s just an awesome game. The campaign of Infinite takes place one year after the events of Halo 5: Guardians as Master Chief now must defeat The Banished on Zeta Halo.

If you have already played the campaign, you now that you encounter other Spartans who have fallen to the banished. But could there be other Spartans who are still alive?

How Many Spartans Were On The Infinity?

The Infiniy is the largest ship in the United Nations Space Command’s fleet. If you have played Halo 5 you probably remember anyway.

After the Spartans split up in Fireteam Blue and Osiris all of them faced difficult challenges. Fireteam Blue was sent off the Infinity on a different mission – without the Master Chief. They could still be alive – if the used their Overshield.

Fireteam Osiris got probably wiped completely. 76 Spartans were killed at Laconia Station by Cortana in Halo 5. Overall, there was an estimated number of 7150 troops on The Infinity. It seems like Pablo Schreiber – sorry the Master Chief – is the only survivor of the Spartans.

What Happened To The Spartans On Zeta Halo? Are There Survivors?

One other Spartan Fireteam might still be alive. Fireteam Taurus consists of the Spartans Griffin, Vettel, Oshiro, and Dimka. They made it off the ship and reached Zeta Halo.

If you want to learn something about the experiences of the Taurus Spartans on Zeta Halo, you should listen to the UNSC audio logs. You’ll find them throughout the campaign. Those audio logs provide also information about other Spartans named Kovan and Horvath. They helped Captaon Lasky evacuate from The Infinity. Since there is no further story line with them, they could still be alive on Zeta Halo.

Will There Be More Spartans In Halo Infinite?

So, for now we don’t know for sure if Master Chief is the only Spartan left in the universe. But there could be more Spartans in the Halo Infinite campaign. Maybe we see new or other Spartans in a DLC for the campaign. If you listened to the audio logs (and played previous Halo games), it is likely that there are other Spartans out there on the Zeta Halo.

We hope to find them one day. More than one Spartan will be seen in the Halo Infinite Battle Royal anyway.
