The briefing I received included this link Opens a new window for setting it for multiple users so you don’t have to do one-by-one, but it still doesn’t say anything about turning it off completely. It only mentions users can unsubscribe if they wish. I’m honestly thinking some (or even many) in my own organization will actually appreciate what it is promising to deliver.
These just started getting sent out to a chunk of us and I’ve received C-Level requests to disable them org-wide.
I found this page: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/admin/misc/cortana-integration?view=o365-worldwide Opens a new window
Which had this bit here:
So I click into the Powershell link and it appears they want me to specify all users one by one and it doesn’t appear to actually turn it off moving forward – for new users. I would like to disable this email completely and not just for our current staff. I’d prefer to not have to re-run this script each time a new person is hired.
Any ideas?
EDIT: Since posting this topic and marking a Best Answer, Microsoft has since updated this setting and now has a much easier approach to modifying the briefing emails, which is outline in this post:
