Santa Clara’s City Council will meet in closed session Tuesday to consider the San Francisco 49ers’ proposed settlement of most pending legal disputes between the city and NFL team, amid rising rhetoric in the long-running feud.
The proposal includes settling the city’s lawsuit accusing the 49ers of diverting millions of dollars in Levi’s Stadium revenue that should have been shared with local taxpayers, according to a document reviewed by The Chronicle. City officials have said tens of millions of dollars are on the line overall in the ongoing disputes between Santa Clara and its most high-profile company.
