Map of Genesis Part 2
There is a massive world to explore in Genesis Part 2. However, the map is set on a huge ship that is made up of two rings. As you can see from the map, there are two different sides separated by space. These two sides are rings, and they are very different areas. These rings include;
- The Right Side of the map is an easier region. It consists of green areas, and the creatures that you find here are quite normal. The right ring can be seen as a green area on the map.
- On the other hand, the Left Side of the map is a tougher region. It consists of purple-colored territory, which is also known as the Corrupted Ring. Not only is the area full of terrifying enemies, but it is also quite tough to survive here.
It should be noted that, like other Ark ships, this one is also traveling through space looking for a planet that is habitable.
New Events on the Genesis Part 2 Map
The following two events can only be observed in the map of Genesis Part 2, the latest Ark Survival Evolved DLC;
- The asteroids that you can observe between the two rings can change over time. That change occurs due to an event known as ‘Hyper-Space’. Hyperspace can only happen during the night, and it creates a purple tint in space. An abundant amount of stars will pass by the ship, causing the asteroids to change.
- Genesis Part 2 also features some of the best Ark Survival Evolved missions. We will discuss these missions in detail later in the guide.
New Entities on the Genesis Part 2 Map
Like every other DLC expansion, Genesis Part 2 also brings a new set of enemies and creatures to Ark Survival Evolved. Following creatures can be found on the map of Genesis Part 2;
- Maewing
- Noglin
- Astrodelphis
- Tek Stryder
- Shadowmane
- Voidwyrms
- Summoner
- R-Creatures
Now we will discuss these creatures in detail.
Maewing
Maewings are generally friendly creatures in Ark Survival Evolved as long as you don’t threaten them in Genesis Part 2. They can be found in the Eden Zone along its beautiful rivers and forests. However, if you try to attack a Maewing, it will simply fly away into the skies.
Mawings can also be tamed in Ark. Not only do they make for the best parents when tamed, but they can also steal offspring from your enemies. As for their appearance, Maewings are hybrids of a Platypus and Flying Squirrels, giving them both aerial and water mobility.
Mawings drop the following items when killed;
- Hide
- Keratin
- Pelt
- Raw Meat
Noglin
Noglins are very important creatures in Genesis Part 2 of Ark Survival Evolved. Not only are they friendly aliens, but they also help the survives if used correctly. Basically, Noglins can control the minds of other creatures and survivors in Ark. They can give this control to their owners.
You can basically control the terrifying creatures in Ark using Noglins. Noglins are small in size and produce a glow from their bodies. They have large pointy ears and four eyes similar to a spider. You can tame a Noglin but never bring any large creature to fight Noglins as they can take control of your tamed creatures in Ark.
Noglins drop the following items when killed;
- Hide
Astrodelphis
It is also known as the Dolphin of Space. These are strange creatures that will surround you as soon as they spot you in Ark Survival Evolved: Genesis Part 2. Out of curiosity, they will keep you grounded and always have an eye on you if you’re too close. They will even attack you if you become hostile towards them.
However, taming Astrodelphis is quite easy. You don’t even need to fight it to make it surrender. Just go near the creature and pet it. Additionally, you need to be swift while taming, as Astrodelphis has the potential to run away during the process.
Aestrodelphis drops the following items when killed;
- Hide
- Raw Meat
Tek Stryder
These are mechanical creatures in Genesis Part 2 of the game. You can attach different mechanical parts to Stryders and develop them for a suitable job. They can be either turned into Farming machines or War machines if necessary.
Tek Stryder can also be modified to impersonate other creatures. However, it is not easy to tame a Stryder as it will attack you on sight. It will also explode when you kill it, which means it drops no resource to use.
Shadowmane
These are probably the most powerful Ark Survival Evolved creatures present in the Genesis Part 2 DLC. They mostly traverse in groups of 3, making it really hard for you to tame them. Solo Shadowmanes can even group up with nearby Shadowmanes if they sense hostility.
Shadowmanes look like Lions in appearance. They can do shock attacks which can throw survivors away from their mounts and can even go invisible at night-time. Shadwomanes can be tamed during the daytime as they are mostly resting when the sun is up.
Shadowmanes drop the following items when killed;
- Hide
- Keratin
- Raw Meat
Voidwyrms
It is another mechanical creature in Genesis Part 2 of Ark Survival Evolved. Basically, Voidwyrms are like normal Wyverns but made up of robotic counterparts. You can see many Voidwyrms flying around in Genesis, and all of them are pretty hostile.
If Voidwyrms spot survivors, they will attack instantly, making them the hardest to tame. They will use Electric breath, which is strong enough to force dismount from your tame. Additionally, you need to damage Voidwyrms to specific health before you can start taming them. As it is a mechanical creature, Voidwyrm does not drop any resources.
Summoner
These are non-tameable creatures in Ark Survival Evolved DLC known as Genesis Part 2. You will find them guarding Rockwell’s Inner Biome, and you have beat them in order to reach the boss.
Summoners look like flowers in appearance but are extremely large in size. Multiple eyes can be seen on their petals when they are aggressive, and they even have a large number of appendages. They will usually use their screams to attack survivors and even have the ability to do teleportation.
R-Creatures
R-Creatures are the most specific enemies limited to only Genesis in Part 2 of Ark Survival Evolved. There are a total of 19 different R-Creatures in Genesis that can be tamed or fought. They can be found in Eden and Rockwell Zones on the map.
New Missions in Genesis Part 2
Genesis Part 2 DLC brings with it a massive catalog of missions of many different types in Ark Survival Evolved. There are certain categories into which such missions can be divided. These missions can be completed both solo or online.
Every mission has three different difficulty modes that you can play with. Obviously, playing on higher difficulties will grant you greater rewards. These difficulties are Alpha, Beta, and Gamma. Some missions can go as far as to restrict your playstyle.
While there are missions that can only be completed by using tamed creatures, on the other hand, some missions will completely restrict the usage of these creatures limiting your playstyle. So, you must be versatile while playing Genesis Part 2 of the game.
All such missions can be initiated through the Eden or Rockwell Garden Mission Terminal. You can also replay these missions as many times as you want for farming.
Mission Types
The following types of missions are available in the Genesis Part 2 of Ark Survival Evolved;
- Hunting Missions
- Gauntlet Challenges
- Race Missions
- Maze Dungeons
Now we will discuss all these types in detail.
Hunting Missions
Hunting missions are exactly what they sound like. You are required to search and investigate for tracks of a creature. You are supposed to use these tracks and locate the specific creature. Then you are required to either capture the creature or kill it in Genesis Part 2 DLC of Ark Survival Evolved.
These are basically missions that require tracking down and assassinating a creature in Ark. Additionally, players who attempt hunting missions will get a Harpoon Launcher with infinite ammo to make such missions somewhat easier.
Gauntlet Challenges
Now, this is a pantheon-style mission which can also be termed a boss-rush mode. Players will have to survive through 10 harsh rounds of fighting monstrous creatures, including dinosaurs. Additionally, you cannot even use the weapons that you own for the gauntlet mode. You have to make do with whatever is available in the arena.
However, points earned through the current arena can be used to buy weapons and tamed creatures in Gauntlet Challenges of Genesis Part 2 in the game.
Race Missions
Racing challenges are almost similar to every other game. Instead of driving a car, you’ll now be riding a dinosaur which is a pretty creative challenge on the developers’ part. Just make sure to finish first in order to get the most rewards in this challenge.
Maze Dungeons
It is a huge maze-like dungeon that can be accessed deep within the Genesis Ship. Rockwell created the maze and filled it with the most difficult puzzles and enemies to deal with. It can get quite hectic beating such a mission in Ark Survival Evolved but keep on grinding for the best rewards in Genesis Part 2.

New Boss Battle in Genesis Part 2
Rockwell Prime is the major and final boss battle in Genesis Part 2 of Ark Survival Evolved. You will face Rockwell throughout the story of Genesis DLC in your ship. However, these encounters are small and scripted. Your real battle starts with Rockwell in the final mission, and you will face his real form there. Now we will discuss the boss in detail below.
Rockwell Prime Boss Battle
Rockwell’s final form is very much distinct and different from his previous appearance. He is now smaller in size but has more muscle mass. He gets a messed-up face along with no abdomen parts. One of his eyes will appear purple-colored, while the other will be blue-colored. He also has two sets of spines with a large number of tentacles hanging from his body. Rockwell actually looks like a Nightmarish Final Boss.
Location of Rockwell Prime
Rockwell Prime can be fought by playing the final mission ‘Terminus’ from the mission terminal in Genesis Part 2 present inside the ship of Ark Survival Evolved. You can farm the boss fight over and over if u want. However, Completing the mission is necessary to fight him as hell be waiting at the very end.
How To Beat Rockwell Prime
Rockwell Prime is probably the hardest boss to beat in Ark Survival Evolved. And it is a given since he’s your final obstacle before transitioning into Ark 2. As long as you’ve got good tamed creatures and items at your disposal, Rockwell shouldn’t be that much of a problem. We recommend doing the following;
- In Phase 1, you have to take down Rockwell nodes first. Rockwell Prime majorly uses AOE attacks in his first phase and his super tentacles to attack. He will bring Summoners to the battle. It is going to become a hectic brawl at close-range. Watch out for his attacks and stay at range. Whenever you get an opening, destroy the Rockwell nodes.
- In Phase 2, Rockwell Prime will fight you on its own once you’ve destroyed all the nodes. Summoners will also vanish, and things will start to get a little easier. Since you’ll have to deal with only Rockwell’s attacks, use your tamed creature to stay at range and take down the boss.
Rewards For Beating Rockwell Prime
You get different rewards for the type of difficulty you defeat Rockwell Prime in. Following are the rewards that you get from beating Rockwell in Genesis Part 2 of the game;
- Gamma Difficulty Rewards: Rockwell Final Form Flag and Rockwell Final Form Trophy
- Beta Difficulty Rewards: Rockwell Final Form Flag and Rockwell Final Form Trophy
