Forest

General Information

Forest is the epicenter and first map of Gorilla Tag and serves as a threshold into another map within the spawn area called Stump.

Sets of wood platforms are scattered around to connect trees and can be accessed through accompanying wood bridges or parkour. On the ground level, the Campground Structure resides in the middle of the map, featuring a picnic table for hanging out and the Leaderboard.

High above the cliffside is where players enter the game for the first time. The Tutorial is an area with simple instructions from arrows on the rock face that guides new players through basic obstacles and learning the locomotion mechanics. Other features include a metal slide, a dual set of walls for more traversal options, a campfire, and a treehouse that can be accessed using a ladder directly into it.

Trivia

• Before the 1.1.14 Update, players were able to climb up to the top of the map using the rock walls.
• In version 1.1.12 the slippery walls became even more slippery, to counter against players who could climb up the old slippery wall.
• The double walls aren’t parallel, which may be the reason for accidental dismounts.
• The stump used to have branches before it was replaced by a singular ramp for better accessibility.
• It is possible to get to the tutorial, however, it is not recommended as it will most likely result in getting banned.
