How to Draw a Fox

Materials
- Pencil
- Drawing Paper
- Crayons or Colored Pencils
- Black Marker (optional)

In today’s tutorial, we are going to learn how to draw a sitting fox. The location and proportion of each body part (tail, snout, paws, etc. ) will be outlined in each step of the tutorial. Take notice that the blue lines are used to show each of the fox’s body parts being drawn in each step.
Time Needed: 30 minutes

Draw The Face Draw the face of the fox by first making two shaded ovals for the eyes. Form a rounded triangular shape for the nose with two curved lines to draw the mouth.

Form The Head Form the head by drawing the shape similar to the illustration.

Add The Ears Add the ears of the fox by making pointed lines on both sides of the head. Draw the inner ear by making an oval shape with three bumps as shown.

Outline The Body Outline the body by drawing the two curved lines similar to the drawing.

Draw The Hind Legs Draw the hind legs by making a curved line with rounded shapes attached to the bottom. Don’t forget to add a slightly curved line at the center as shown.

Attach The Tail Attach the tail by making a pointed shape as shown.

Outline The Fur Outline the fox’s fur with zigzag lines on the tip of the tail and on the paws. Also draw two curved lines around the chest part.

Outline The Toes Outline the fox’s toes by making short curved lines.

Complete The Fox Drawing Complete the fox drawing by coloring the fox’s fur with orange and light brown crayons. Then, use a purple crayon to shade the nose.
