Where to find the new Fortnite Shield Keg

The arrival of Fortnite Chapter 3: Season 1 introduced an array of new content. From a new map to a switch up of the exotic weapon pool, this season has something for everyone to enjoy. Already, this chapter has seen the roll out of some new health items such as the Guzzle Juice and Med-Mist. Now, a new item has rolled out, named the Shield Keg, and it’s already proving to be popular among Fortnite fans — here is what it is and where you can find it.

The Shield Keg restores the shields of yourself and your teammates. As soon as you throw down the Shield Keg, blue liquid will begin spraying out — almost resembling a fountain. Standing near it can replenish your shields from zero all the way to 100. It is important to note that the Fortnite Shield Keg can restore the shields of enemy players if they are situated close enough. Be being mindful of where you’re placing it.

How to get a Shield Keg in Fortnite

There are multiple ways in which you can get your hands on a Shield Keg. While you are looting, you may encounter the item in chests, supply drops, or even on the ground. However, if you want to guarantee yourself a Shield Keg, you can purchase one from the relevant NPCs. Visit Lt. John Llama or The Scientist and pay 250 gold bars to add the item to your inventory. You can find Lt. John Llama at the shack between Logjam Lumberyard and Camp Cuddle. As for The Scientist, he is located at the main building at the Sanctuary point of interest.

With the addition of the Shield Keg, there are now even more ways to gain more shields. As Chapter 3: Season 1 continues to progress, we will have to wait and see if Epic Games will debut any more new items.
