  • Advice

    • Without an administrator account, you will not be able to use the Command Prompt at all.
    • If you can’t access with admin rights, go to recovery mode, there will be an admin command line.
    • If you disconnect your computer without shutting it down properly, boot into recovery mode and quit halfway, it will give you an error message and an address below the screen leading to a text file, it will be opened with notepad. This will take you to the File menu. From there you can rename Command Prompt to sticky keys. When you press the Shift key 5 times the machine will load the command prompt instead of the sticky keys. You can now reset the admin account if the locked account is inaccessible.

    Warning

    • Never change your computer password without your permission.
