Plan your homework. Allow your child to complete homework in small chunks. In between each section, let the child take a break. It helps to use a timer to help your child finish on time. Planning can help with homework routines.

    Give lots of compliments. When you see your child trying to stick to a daily schedule, it’s very important to praise them. This will encourage your child to keep practicing the best habits possible. Make sure you not only focus on the finishing touches, but also acknowledge the child’s effort.

    • Set aside time at the beginning of each week, preferably Sunday night, to create a work schedule for the upcoming week.
