Open Google Docs on your iPhone or iPad. The application has a blue page icon with the corner of the paper folded down, inside there are white lines. Applications are usually located on the home screen.

Click the file you want to edit. The document will open.

Tap the + sign at the top of the screen, to the right. The “Insert” menu opens at the bottom of the screen.

Scroll down on the menu and tap Page number . A list of positions for page numbers will appear.

Click the location you want. Select one of the four options that represent the page number position. The page number will be inserted immediately.

The first option will add the page number to the upper right corner of each page, starting with the first page.
The second option will add the page number to the upper right corner of each page, starting from the second page.
The third option will add the page number to the bottom right corner of each page, starting with the first page.
The last option will add the page number to the bottom right corner of each page, starting from the second page.
