Download µTorrent at www.utorrent.com . There are versions of µTorrent for different platforms, so you need to be sure to get the correct Mac version. Then, choose where to save the downloaded file (such as your desktop or downloads folder).

Go to a trusted torrent site and search. Enter the name of the data you want to load in the search bar. You need to search specifically, or else you will get random results.

Download torrents. Click the little magnet icon or the “Get this Torrent” link. You need to make sure you don’t click “download direct”, “download” or “magnet download”, or you will be attacked by pop-ups and redirects.

Wait for the torrent to finish downloading. µTorrent will automatically open the file/link, or you will be asked to open it in the program and set µTorrent as default. µTorrent will also open a second window for you to click the “OK” button in the lower right corner.

The download time will depend on the file size and the number of “seeders”.
The more seeders, the faster the file will be downloaded because torrents can take parts of the file.
