How to Split Text into Two Columns in Word

Open the Microsoft Word document that you want to edit. You need to find the document in your computer and double click to open it.

Select all the text to split. You will select by clicking at the beginning of the text and dragging to the end of the text. The selected text will be highlighted in blue.

Select the Cpumns item in the Layout tab. This will display a selection of the number of columns to be split in a drop-down menu.

Select the item Two in the drop-down menu. This will split the selected text into two columns.

Also you can choose to split the text into more columns.

Adjust the size of the column by adjusting the ruler at the top. You can click and drag the ruler to adjust the size of the text column.
