Do not hide medicine in kitten food. Sick kittens need medicine, but you shouldn’t hide medicine in their food. Give the kitten meloxicam. Meloxicam (also known as Metacam) belongs to the pharmaceutical group of NSAIDs (Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs). Meloxicam inhibits the COX-2 enzyme that produces prostaglandins, preventing inflammation that causes fever. Meloxicam is a safe and useful drug in reducing fever.
