This article will show you how to upload and store photos on your Google Drive account. You can use any browser on your computer or the Drive app on your phone or tablet to upload photos to your account. Once you’ve uploaded your photos, you can access them with your Drive account from anywhere.

Open the Google Drive page on your computer browser. You can type or paste the URL https://drive.google.com into the address bar and press the ↵ Enter or ⏎ Return key on your keyboard.

Double click on the folder where you want to store the photos. You can download and store photos to any folder on Drive. This will open the selected folder.

  • Or you can click the New button in the upper left corner and select Fpder to create a new folder for storing photos.

Click the + New button in the upper left corner. This button has an icon like a multicolored ” + ” sign in the upper left corner of the screen. A drop-down menu will display.

Click the File upload button in the drop-down menu. This option is next to a page-like icon with an arrow pointing up inside. A new file window will appear for you to select the photos you want to upload.

Select the photos you want to store. You’ll find and click the photos you want to upload to your Drive account.

  • If you want to upload multiple photos at once, select the photo while pressing and holding Ctrl (Windows) or ⌘ Cmd (Mac) on your keyboard.

Click the Open button in the pop-up window. This will upload all the selected photos to a folder on Drive. You can store your photos here and access them with your Drive account from anywhere.

Open the Drive app on your iPhone, iPad, or Android. The icon of this application looks like a triangle with yellow, blue and green edges, usually displayed in the applications folder on the home screen or the application tray.

Tap the Upload option in the pop-up menu. This button is symbolized by an arrow pointing up inside a horizontal square bracket. This will open a list of where files and folders are stored on your phone or tablet.

Select the location where you save the photo. You can select Pictures , Photos and Videos, Gallery , or another storage place in the list that appears.

Tap the image you want to upload. This will select the image and place a blue check mark on the selected image.
