This article shows you how to use the latest Apple wireless headphones. AirPods can be used with any Bluetooth device, but to get full functionality, including Siri connectivity, we recommend using an iPhone or iPad running iOS 10.2 (or higher) or a computer Mac running OS X Sierra operating system.

Take the AirPods out of the box. When taken out of the box, the AirPods are also powered on and ready to use: there is no on/off slider.

Attach the AirPods to the ear. Once attached to the ear, AirPods usually automatically connect to the connected device’s audio source; You don’t need to do anything extra to hear alert sounds and ringtones with your AirPods.

  • Play music, podcasts, videos, or other audio on the connected device to listen with AirPods.
  • AirPods connect to iPhone and Apple Watch at the same time. That means you’ll hear audio from your iPhone and Apple Watch using your AirPods without turning it on or reconnecting.

Double-tap the AirPods. This is an action to activate Siri, receive an incoming call, end a call, or switch to another call.

  • AirPods are designed with Siri in mind. Commands like “Play my playlist”, “Skip to the next song”, “Turn up the vpume” and others are all can be done through the Siri function of the AirPods.
  • To change double-tap functionality for playing or pausing music, open Settings when AirPods are nearby, tap Bluetooth , select AirPods, and then tap Play /Pause in section “DOUBLE-TAP ON AIRPODS” (Double tap on Airpods).
