How to Enable Street View in Google Maps on Android

This wikiHow teaches you how to switch to Street View and view an image of a location selected with Google Maps on an Android device.

Open the Google Maps app on Android. The Maps app has a red location pin icon above the map icon. This application is usually located in the Apps menu.

Tap the EXPLORE tab. This button has a gray location pin icon at the bottom of the screen.

Specify the location you want to see on the map. You can tap the screen and drag the map, or pinch out with two fingers to zoom in/out.

Or you can use the search bar to find the location or coordinates. This bar will be titled ” Search here ” and will be at the top of the screen.

Long press the location on the map. A red pin will be dropped at the location you selected. A Street View preview of this location will appear in the lower left corner of the map.

Tap the Street View preview. A preview image will appear in the lower left corner when you release the location pin. When you tap it, you will switch to Street View full screen mode.

Tap and drag the screen to look around. Street View provides a 360-degree view of the selected location.

Swipe up and down on the blue traffic lines. You can move and walk around in Street View. If the road or street is marked with a blue line on the ground, you can swipe up on this blue line to go for a walk.
