Press the ⊞ Win and ⎙ PrtScr keys at the same time. Depending on the Lenovo laptop model, the Print Screen key may be in the upper right corner (next to the Delete key) or in the lower right corner (next to the arrow key).

Find your screenshot in the Pictures folder. Screenshot taken with the Win + Prtsc key combination is located at a location like ” C:UsersusernamePicturesScreenshots. ”

  • If you don’t see it there, try opening a program like Paint and pressing Ctrl + V to paste the backed up image into the cache.
  • Press Alt + PrtSc if you want to take a screenshot of the current window. Then open Paint and paste the screenshot in. Finally, you can save by going to File > Save .

Simultaneously press the key combination ⊞ Win + ⇧ Shift + S . This will open Windows Snipping Top so you can take a screenshot.

Use your mouse to select the entire screen (if you want to capture everything on the screen). If you don’t want to capture the entire screen, just select the part you want to capture.

Open Snip & Sketch. Press the Win key and type “Snip & Sketch,” then click the application search result.

  • Snipping Top opens with a warning window prompting you to use the new “Snip & Sketch” application. “Snip & Sketch” has a sketch feature which is very useful if you want to mark up the screenshot before sharing.

Select a shooting mode. At the top of the screen, you’ll see 5 icons for shooting modes: Rectangular crop, freehand crop, window shot, full screen shot, and closeup. Please click a mode to use.

Take a screenshot. Depending on the mode selected, you will take screenshots in different formats. To take a rectangular and freehand crop, you use the mouse to select the area you want to capture; To take a picture of windowed and full screen mode, you click on the screen you want to capture.

Edit and save screenshots. You can use the icons above the screenshot preview to edit by marking areas, drawing on the photo, or cropping it.

  • Click the save icon (it looks like a floppy disk) in the lower right corner. Then you need to select a location in File Explorer and save the screenshot.

    Press and hold the On/Off button and the volume down button at the same time. The screenshots will be in the Pictures folder inside the “Screenshots” folder.

    • If you’re on a computer and can’t press the button, go to Notifications Center in the taskbar and select Screen snip . Snip & Sketch will open so you can take a screenshot.
