Find the standard deviation value next to the entry Sx or σx . These lines are usually the fourth and fifth results in the list. You may need to scroll down to see all values.

    • Sx is the standard deviation of the sample, and σx represents the standard deviation of the population. The value you will use depends on whether you used the data from the sample or the whole thing. [2] X Research Source
    • A low standard deviation indicates that the values in the list do not depend much on the mean, a high standard deviation means that the data set has a wide spread. [3] X Research Sources
    • x̄ represents the mean of the data set.
    • Σx represents the sum of all values.
