Spread the charcoal on the bottom of the oven depending on the type of food you are grilling. No matter what type of food you grill, if you want them to cook evenly, the coals under the grill need to be spread out and slightly wider than the surface of the food. Use a coal picker or shovel to pull out the coals.

  • For thinly sliced meat, simply spread the charcoal evenly under the grill.
  • For thicker slices of meat, add more charcoal on one side than on the other side. When starting out, you should grill the meat on the side of the grill with lots of charcoal underneath. After the outer layer of meat is just cooked to your liking, continue grilling and finish the steak on the side with less coals under the oven.

  • Advice

    • For vegetables, you should use a small mesh grill and spread the charcoal evenly. For side dishes, such as mashed potatoes or baked beans, place an aluminum tray on top and spread the charcoal evenly underneath.
    • Some suppliers sell flammable coals pre-treated. They are very suitable for use when camping or in situations where it is not convenient to carry aromatic gasoline.
    • In cold or humid weather, you should add more coal to keep the fire hot enough.
    • Please be patient!
