This is an article on how to translate content in a PDF file into another language. You can use the free online application DocTranslator to do this; If you just want to read the contents of the PDF file in another language, you can use Google Translate.

Use Google Translate

Open Google Translate. You’ll visit https://translate.google.com/ using your computer’s browser.
Click the Documents button. You’ll see this button above the empty text field on the left side of the page.
Click Browse your computer . This is the option in the middle of the page. A File Explorer (Windows) or Finder (Mac) window immediately appears on the desktop.
Select PDF file. Find the folder where the PDF file is saved, then click it to select it.
Click Open . This option is in the lower right corner of the window. The PDF file will be uploaded to the Google Translate page.
Select the translation language. On the right side of the page, you will click on the language or click on

Open the DocTranslator page. Go to https://www.onlinedoctranslator.com/ using your computer’s web browser.

  • DocTranslator supports more than 104 languages and retains the original formatting and images after translation.
Click Translate now . This is the orange button in the middle of the page.

Select PDF file. Go to the folder where the PDF file is saved, then click it to select it.
Click Open . This is the button in the lower right corner of the window. The PDF file will be uploaded to the DocTranslator site.

  • If you see a message that the PDF will take longer to format than other text, click OK .
Select the translation language. Click the second language check box in the middle of the bottom of the page, and then click the language you want to use to translate the PDF file.

Wait until the PDF file is finished translating. As announced by DocTranslator, translating PDF files can take several minutes because of formatting requirements.
  • Click Download your translated document! (Download the translated document! ). This link is displayed in the middle of the page after the PDF file has been translated. This is the operation to download the translated PDF file to the computer.

    • Depending on your browser’s settings, the file may be downloaded automatically after translation is complete.
  • Advice

    • Note, no translation service is perfect, except for professional (and paid) services. Both DocTranslator and Google Translate have some translation errors.

    Warning

    • It’s a pity that Google Translate does not allow you to save the translated PDF file. You need to use DocTranslator if you want to download the PDF file after the translation is done.
