Select a keyboard layout. Scroll down on the layout options until you find a layout you like, then click to select it.

Click Add in the upper-right corner of the window. The layout will be added to your computer’s “Input Sources” section.

Select the old keyboard layout. Click on the layout you used earlier. The option is at the top of the “Input Sources” section.

    Click the ∨ sign below the last keyboard here. The old layout will be moved down and make room for the new layout that displays at the top of the menu. So the new layout has become the default keyboard layout.

    • You can also remove the old keyboard layout entirely by clicking the – under “Input Sources”.
  • Advice

    • To view the keyboard layout, click on the layout you want to view, then click the keyboard icon under “Input Sources”.

    Warning

    • Not all layouts are compatible with standard keyboards. Before choosing, you need to make sure that the keyboard matches the layout you prefer.
