PPSSPP is one of the most versatile PSP emulators you can use on your Android device. Remember that to play games at the right speed, you need a newer Android device. The devices are too old and slow to play the game. If you have custom firmware installed on your PSP, you can get a PSP disc and copy it to your Android device.

Download game ISO or CSO files from online sources. If you don’t want to dump the game, you have to customize the firmware on your PSP, you can download the ISO file from online torrent sites. It is illegal to download games that do not belong to you, so you must accept all risks when downloading files. Just find the game on your favorite torrent site and download it. The game can be in the CSO format, which is a compressed ISO file. Both CSO and ISO files work on PPSSPP.

  • It will be easier if you download the game file on your computer, and then copy it to your Android device.
  • See the article How to download Torrents for detailed instructions on how to download torrent files to your computer.
  • After downloading the game you want to play to PPSSPP, read the next step. If you want to legally dump the game, then continue reading below.

Install custom firmware on PSP if you want to dump game files. As such, you can create an ISO file for any UMD or game you download yourself. However, this is a rather complicated process. We will explain briefly below, but you can refer to the articles on How to hack PlayStation Portable for more details. [1] X Research Source

  • Updated version 6.60 of PSP.
  • Download PRO-C Fix3 to your computer. This is a custom firmware installer for PSP.
  • Copy the download folder to the GAME folder on the PSP Memory Stick.
  • Run “Pro Update” in your PSP’s Game menu to install the custom firmware.
  • Run “CIPL_Flasher” to permanently default custom firmware. That way, every time you reboot your PSP, you don’t need to reload the firmware.
