Touch and drag the app you want to disable to the top edge of the screen. The application disappears means it has been turned off.

  • On iPhone X using iOS 11 or later, you need to hold down the app switcher to access shutdown mode, then tap the ⛔ button or perform an upward swipe to close each app. For iOS 12 operating system, applications on iPhone X/XS/XS Max/XR are also disabled in the above manner.
  • On iOS 6 or earlier, you’ll touch and hold one of the apps and tap the iPhone ⛔ button to turn it off.
  • Repeat the action for each app you want to close, or use 2 or 3 fingers when swiping up from the bottom to close multiple apps at once.
