Use boiled water

Boiling water will help clean bacteria on the brush

Freshly boiled water has a very good ability to kill bacteria, you must have used it to “sterilize” some important items such as baby bottles, bottles or food jars,… Now you can use it. This way to disinfect the toothbrush too.

Just boil water, pour it into a glass (or stainless steel to keep heat well) and soak the brush in the cup for 3-5 minutes. Then you can use it immediately or store the brush in a clean, dry place.

This method should only be done once a week to limit damage on the brush due to boiling water.

Use apple cider vinegar

Dilute a few tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in a glass jar and soak your toothbrush in it for at least 15 minutes.

The acid in vinegar will help kill most of the bacteria and pathogens on the bristles. Do this diligently 1-2 times a week to keep the brush clean.

Hydrogen peroxide or alcohol-containing mouthwash

These types of solutions have benign antiseptic properties, will give a very good cleaning and bactericidal effect, and are safe on the bristles.

– Add 1 teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide or mouthwash to 50 ml of water and soak the brush in this mixture for at least 30 seconds before use.

– Rinse the brush with hot water and you can use it to clean your teeth as usual.

Use the dishwasher

This method may sound strange, but it works.

Put the brush in the top position of the dishwasher, to avoid overheating of the machine causing plastic melt or damage to the brush.

The dishwasher will help remove dirt and bacteria, germs on the brush very well.
