Compared with books, newspapers and magazines, thematic magazines are often more difficult to buy, more expensive, but provide more detailed and authentic information.

  • If you like the academic nature of the journal, you can join some of your favorite research groups in fields like history, biology or sociology. These research groups often sponsor peer-reviewed journals and send them to members with an interest in the same field.
  • Head to the university library for access to hundreds of different thematic journals on all academic topics.
