Open the message. To open the Snapchat messages your friends send you, go to the “Snapchat” page. Long press on the username of the person who sent you the message to view their picture or video.

Once you start viewing messages, the clock will start counting down the seconds. Once the time returns to zero, you will no longer be able to view the snap.
