Whether you book your flight online, over the phone or with a travel agent, it’s still essential to check your flight reservation information before you leave for the airport. Finding your reservation on the airline’s website usually allows you to view/adjust your seat, purchase a meal, and submit a request for some special services. This article will show you how to view and adjust flight booking information on the websites of some familiar airlines. If you don’t see the airline you’re looking for, you’ll still find similar options on most other airlines’ websites.

Find the 6 characters of the reservation code. If you have booked your flight ticket online on a certain website, you will see this code in the payment/reservation confirmation email. If you have a paper ticket or boarding pass, this code is usually found on the front of the information section.

  • Depending on where the ticket is booked, the reservation code may be called a “Record locator” or a “Confirmation code”.

  • If you know your flight number and just want to check your arrival or estimated departure time, click the Flight Status link at the top of the page, enter your flight information, and click the arrow red and white.
  • If there is less than 24 hours left before departure and want to check-in for your flight, click CHECK-IN in the menu at the top of the screen, choose an option from the “Find Your Trip By” menu. Select an option to find your flight. You can search for flights by confirmation code, credit/debit card number or ticket number.

Scroll down to the “My Trips” section and select your flight. If your flight is already connected to your account, the information will show up here.

  • If you don’t see the flight you’re looking for, it’s usually because you purchased your ticket through a third party (such as a travel agent). To find your flight, enter your first name, last name and confirmation code (6 digit code on the ticket or in the payment confirmation email) in the “My Trips” section, click Continue , and follow the instructions on the screen to add and view flight information.
