Restore iPhone and set it up as new again. You can apply this when all else fails. Make a backup before restoring so you can get all your data back.

    • See also online for more details on how to restore iPhone.
  • Advice

    • On iPhone, SMS only needs cell phone signal to send/receive, but MMS requires mobile data (eg 3G, 4G).
    • You can tell which protocol iMessage is using by the color of the message. Blue means iMessage is in use, and green means the message is being sent as SMS/MMS. Multimedia messages in green require mobile data to be received and sent.
