Close the tray by pushing in or pressing Eject again. The motor will close the drive itself (except for spring loaded drives on notebooks).

Start Windows Media Player if AutoPlay does not appear. If nothing has happened since you inserted the disc, manually open Windows Media Player.

Double-click the audio CD in the menu on the left. The disc will start playing, you will see the tracks appear in the middle of the window.

Click and drag the Vpume slider in Windows Media Player to adjust the CD volume as it plays. Note that this slider is not related to the system volume. You need to make sure that the system volume is set to audible before adjusting the volume of Windows Media Player.

Play CDs on Mac

Insert the CD into the Mac computer’s drive. Make sure that the disc label is facing up.

Click and drag the Vpume slider to adjust the volume. This slider is at the top of the window, next to the playback controls.

Pop the disc out after listening to it. There are several ways to remove a disc from a Mac computer:
- Press the Eject button on the keyboard.
- Press ⌘ Command + E .
- Click the desktop, choose File→Eject.
- Drag the CD icon on the desktop and drop it in the Trash. This is only possible if the drive icon is on the desktop.
