Press Ctrl + Alt + T to open a terminal window.
Update the installation program repository. To make sure the system is up to date, you need to run the following two commands:

Install wget if you don’t already have it on your computer. This is the tool that you will use to download the Chrome installer from the command line.

Use wget to download the Chrome installer. Since Chrome no longer has a 32-bit version, you need to get the 64-bit version. To get the latest stable version, you would enter the following command:

  • Type wget https://dl.google.com/linux/direct/google-chrome-stable_current_amd64.deb and press Enter .
  • Once the installation program download is complete, you will return to the command line window.
Install the downloaded Chrome installer. To install Chrome from a downloaded program, you need to use the following command:

  • Type sudo dpkg -i google-chrome-stable_current_amd64.deb and press Enter .

Fix an error that occurred during Chrome installation. If you find an error during the installation, type sudo apt-get install -f and press Enter to fix the error.
