Visit Notification Center

Turn on the screen by pressing the button in the upper right corner of the iPhone body. On older models, this button is at the top; and on new models, this button is on the right side.

Unlock the phone. Enter a passcode or press your fingertip on the Home button if using Touch ID.

Tap Notifications near the top of the menu, next to the red icon with a white square. The screen will display a list of all applications that can send notifications in alphabetical order.

Tap an app. Select the app for which you want to receive notifications.

Move the slider next to “Allow Notifications” to the left “On”. This slider is at the top of the screen and will turn green allowing the app to send you notifications.

Push the slider next to “Show in Notification Center” to the “On” position. Now notifications from the app will show up in the Notification Center .
- Turn on Sounds to hear a sound when you receive a notification.
- Enable Badge App Icon if you want to see a red dot with unseen notifications displayed in the upper right corner of the app icon.
- Turn on Show on Lock Screen so that notifications appear on the screen when the device is locked.

Tap the alert type. This allows you to choose the type of alert that will appear when the device is unlocked.
- Select None if you do not want the message to be displayed.
- Select Banners so that the notification briefly appears at the top of the screen and then disappears.
- Tap Alerts if you want to manually clear the notifications displayed at the top of the screen.
- You will now receive notifications from the app in the Notification Center .

- If you’ve linked your Facebook and Twitter accounts to your iPhone, you can update the status of these two social networks right in the Notification Center.
