How to Catch Three Regis in Pokemon Emerald

Many Pokémon fans were surprised to realize that the old way to catch Pokémon Regirock, Regice, and Registeel can’t be used in the Emerald version. This article will show you how to unlock them in the video game Pokémon Emerald. Please note that you may need to try again and again to catch these Legendary Pokémon.

Unlock Legendary Pokémon

Run north of the Chamber. You will see another Braille sign.

Use Digi. Open your active Pokémon and use the Dig skill.

Enter the “Sealed Chamber”. When using Dig, you will find the entrance to the cave. Step through and you’ll see the “Sealed Chamber” in the upper left corner of your screen.

Catch Pokémon Regirock in Desert Ruins (desert ruins). It is located at the bottom of the desert near the city of Mauville along Route 111 (street 1111).

Go up to the Braille sign at the far North of the cave and press A to read. Then take two steps to the left, then two steps down and use the Rock Smash move.
You should save your progress here before fighting, in case you don’t catch Regirock, there is still another chance.

Catch Pokémon Regice in Ruins on Route 105. You will see the words “Island Cave” in the upper left corner of your screen.

Go up to the Braille sign on the North wall and press A to read. Keep sticking to the wall and go around the whole cave in a counter-clockwise direction (you can walk, run or cycle). After going, the wall with the Braille sign will reveal the cave door for you to enter.
You should save the gameplay here before fighting, in case you don’t catch Regice, there is still another chance.
Regice has the Ice Wind skill which reduces your Pokémon’s speed. You can use a Pokémon with the Yawn move to remove this effect.

Catch Pokémon Registeel in the Ruins on Route 120. You’ll find it in the middle of a wet meadow. The word “Ancient Tomb” will appear in the upper left corner of your screen.

Go up to the Braille sign on the North wall and press A to read.
Go to the middle of the room and use the Flash move.
You should save your progress here before fighting, just in case you don’t catch Registeel, there’s still another chance.

Remember to save your gameplay before turning off the Game Boy Advance or Nintendo DS system.

Advice

If the Pokémon sleeps while catching, you will have a higher chance of catching it.
Prepare 50 Ultra/Hyper balls and 50 Timer balls when you go to catch Regis. Try to make the Pokémon as weak as possible and put it to sleep for the best chance of catching it.
If you haven’t done the latter, try bringing a strong Pokémon with an electric move to wipe out all the weak trainers.
All Regis Pokémon have their own Curse, Super Power, Ancient Power, and special moves.
Weaken Regis to the point of “red health” (low hp) then start using Pokémon whose moves focus on increasing/decreasing stats. Then start using shadow Timer. Note that the Timer ball will become stronger the more turns in the match.

Warning

Save your gameplay . It is not enough to emphasize this many times. Many trainers have neglected to save the game progress and then caused Regis (Regirock, Regice and Registeel) to faint during combat!
