Padlet is a website that allows you to collaborate with other users with text, images, links and other content. Each collaboration space is referred to as a “wall”. It can also be used as a separate newsletter. Teachers and companies use Padlets to encourage multimedia conversation and creative inventions of students or staff.

Start creating a “Wall”

Go to the padlet page. com. Click “Create Something” or “Make a Wall”. You will be directed to your own wall with a single link.

Drag photos from your desktop or computer folder onto your wall. As soon as you drag the photo into the browser window, it will stay on the wall. Click in the center of the photo to move it, or use the arrows in the corners to zoom in or out.

See the small icons below your message. You will see buttons including link button, upload button, and video button. Use these buttons to attach a multimedia link to your message.

  • Click the link icon to attach the URL to the message. This is also a great way to attach photos, as you can link to images on a web page.
  • Click the upload link to select a file from your computer.
  • Click the video link if you have a webcam. You can make an audio video and post it on the site.

Click any element on the wall to zoom in or out. Tapping the pencil icon at the top right of a post will allow the wall’s author or admin to edit the content on the wall. Use the cornering motion to resize a photo on another device, for example, a mobile phone or tablet.

Copy the URL in your browser. Start with “padlet.com/wall/”, then include a unique character code for your wall. Paste this code into any browser to get access to the wall.

Click “Sign Up” to share the wall. Sign up with email and other information. After confirming the registration, access your wall using the unique URL.
